Happy you as the upholder of dharma
Happy you on Deepavali. Happy you as the upholder of dharma!
One at a time.
That ‘s how we light the diya.
One at a time.
That ‘s how we light each dark corner of our lives
One at a time.
That ‘s how the guru shows you that you are the light of all lights.
Prayers that all discover themselves as the only light that makes your life shine. 🙂

Just as the people of Ayodhya gathered with a row of lights (deepavali) to welcome Bhagavan Śrī Rāma , the embodiment of dharma into their hearts and lives, we welcome dharma into our hearts and lives. Happy you on Deepavali. Happy you as the upholder of dharma!
We welcome dharma by doing acts of dharma! We don’t make excuses for offering what we can to the less privileged. We do it.
We don’t make excuses for going to the temple. We do it.
We don’t make excuses to do our daily puja, however long or short it is. We do it.
We don’t make excuses to attend classes or listen to the words of the ever blessing Śāstra. We do it.
We don’t make excuses to go on pilgrimages as we show our reverence for the history of our land. We do it.
We don’t make excuses to read the history of our Avatāra-s. We do it.
We don’t make excuses about time to do japa as it purifies us. We do it.
We don’t make excuses about not having time to meditate. We do it.
We do it not because we have anything to prove to anybody. We do the above acts not because someone has forced us.
We do it because we understand that we are blessed beyond measure.
We do it because we are empowered by our understanding of our tradition.
We do it because only the fire of knowledge can burn away the impurities of our countless excuses, our doubts, denial, judgment and resentment.
We do it because our self growth and self discovery matter to us.
We do it because the tradition lives in us. We live the tradition.
We are our glorious living tradition.
